If you read Part 1.5, you know exactly how the first prototype of this holster ended its life. It wasn’t pretty. I had dialed the tolerances so tight that the wet leather locked onto the mold gun like a vice. I spent twenty minutes fighting it before I had to take a knife to my own work just to retrieve the blue gun.
That destroyed holster — sliced open and useless — sat on my bench for a few days as a reminder. It was a casualty of chasing perfection a little too aggressively. But in this craft, failure isn’t the end; it’s just expensive data.
I took that data back to the drawing board. I adjusted the stitch line by a fraction of an inch — just enough to let the leather breathe without losing that crisp retention. I refined the internal Kydex spine to better support the mouth of the holster. And then, I cut a new hide.
This is the result. This is the Resurrection.
The Resurrection Build
The goal was never just to make “another leather holster.” The goal was to build a full-grain leather OWB holster that solved the specific problems of outside the waistband carry without sacrificing the soul of leather.
Here is exactly what went into the final design:
1. The Silent Foundation: Lined Leather
Standard OWB holsters use a single layer of thick skirting leather. For the Resurrection, I switched to a lined construction. I take two layers of premium full-grain leather and bond them together — flesh side to flesh side. The result is a smooth, finished surface on both the body side and the gun side.
This does two things:
· Silent Draw — The smooth lining eliminates the plastic-on-leather friction that causes squeaking. Drawing the firearm is whisper-quiet. No plastic “click,” no scraping sound. Just silence.
· Finish Protection — The lining is gentler on your firearm’s finish than raw Kydex or rough-out leather, preserving your investment.

2. The Hidden Spine
3. Absolute Stability: The Tek-Lok
We ditched the cheap spring clips for the Tek-Lok attachment system. It features a secondary locking mechanism and adjustable shims to fit your belt perfectly. Once that latch clicks shut, that holster is part of your body. It doesn’t slide, it doesn’t tilt, and it certainly doesn’t come off until you want it to.

The Cost of Quality
I’ll be honest with you: this is not a budget holster. You can go on Amazon right now and buy a mass-produced holster for $40 that will be at your door tomorrow. That is not what this is.
To build the Resurrection, I have to cut multiple hides, skive the edges by hand, mold the internal Kydex spine, bond the layers, stitch it all together, and hand-finish the edges. It is a labor-intensive process that cannot be rushed. That is why the price point is set at $120–$150, and the lead time is 4–6 weeks.

I know 4–6 weeks sounds like a lifetime in a world of Prime shipping. But you aren’t paying for convenience; you are paying for assurance. You are paying for a piece of gear that was crafted by American hands, designed to solve real-world problems, and built to last a lifetime.
